About us
Founded in 2008, Necessary Design is an award winning design studio based in the Atlanta suburb of Villa Rica, Georgia. We are a small design studio with one very simple goal, we want to create a fantastic product you can be proud of. We create logos, packaging, print, websites and whatever else you might need. In the end, we want you to be excited when you tell your customers, friends, even your mom about your branding. We believe in sharing our passion to create with our clients through kindness and honesty to deliver the final necessary design.
Meet the owner

Maria Necessary - Designer / Supermom
Necessary Design is a clever business name, yes? It's also the name of owner Maria Necessary. She often jokes how she married her husband simply for the marketing potential of his last name. Luckily, she's madly in love with him as well.
Maria spent 8 years under the gainful employment of others while taking freelance jobs on the side. When she built up a small client list of her own she started Necessary Design.
You can sometimes hear her two daughters in the background of phone calls with Maria. We figure they're either offering advice about your project or telling the sitter about their latest adventures.

Good works
Whether its donating our talents to help promote a cause or financial contributions, Necessary Design loves to back people we believe in. From small towns to big cities, we support communities across the nation through various design services and involvement.

Day for Renae Hudgens
On Sept. 29, 2012, Olive Branch Ministries hosted a fundraiser and block party benefitting Renae Hudgens. She is the wife of Sgt. Mitch Hudgens of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and is suffering from a rare disease. The event raised funds over $8,000 to assist the family with medical expenses and medical bill debt relief. Necessary Design assisted in creating and managing an event website along with other marketing materials.

Grace Ministries International
Our support of this ministry helps remind us the importance of letting go and letting God. The Grace Ministries International (GMI) family is committed to providing safe places of ministry in Atlanta and around the world, where believers can find hope, encounter Christ as Life, and discover their true identity in Him. It is apparent that Christians have plenty of knowledge about what they are supposed to do and believe, but not who they are or how to live this life. It is when we come to the end of ourselves that God can and will be able to do His deepest work.

One More Big BENefit Christmas Toy Giveaway
In November of 2008 and 2009, we grabbed a few shopping carts and headed out to the stores looking for fun, creative toys to donate to this fantastic charity event. The Watson’s Foundation ONE MORE sponsored 84 local families by providing parents with the opportunity to shop for gifts free of charge for their children. Families get a chance to pick out toys, books, clothing, dolls and sports gear to give to their children at home during the holidays.

HomeAid Atlanta's Project Playhouse® Project Playhouse Auction/Raffle Brochure
Project Playhouse®, HomeAid Atlanta’s annual signature fundraiser, features a showcase of extraordinary playhouses designed and built by some of Atlanta’s premier architects and home builders. Each playhouse is awarded to a lucky winner through a raffle drawing. Necessary Design donated time in 2008 & 2009 to design the brochures for this fantastic event.
